Of course... I do miss them, it happened before, it keeps happening and it will happen again, but I fully comprehend why they do it, gotta confess.
First, because hobbies. Hobbies can extend to the level of a life style the same way they can come down to just a phase, and at any point of it one feels like not carrying it on anymore. In dA case specifically, either an artist or a collector can lose interest in a fingersnap. Nothing of a painful farewell, blowing one's nose and waving a handkerchief in tears, more like a friendly "Bye! Have a beautiful time!" farewell. Simply an option. People changes, life goes on, it happens, what to do...
Second, and the bad case, well... you all know how the world wide web is as much of a heavenly place as it is a hell. You all know internet provides the safe haven for both those looking for fun and/or relief they don't get in real life as it does for all the complete losers willing to release all their restrained heartache in form of leeching art or insulting. Needless to say dA is no exception to that, right? I've seen people leave this place for being fed up, hurt or even unappreciated, reasonably or not.
Sure, in some cases one may leave for some other reason(s), but all in all leaving dA by oneself is a good thing. At least a good sign, taking that it can mean one is just through it, trying to look for significant changes, better means to be someone in life, or just to find happiness somewhere else, if not just leaving a burden of useless online experiences behind, rather than simply selling his or her soul to social networks. I'm not saying people shouldn't be upset or disheartened for seeing a deviant leave, it's just natural to miss him or her. But think about it, try to be happy for dear former deviant considering such departure can be the next step to be taken in his or her life - and most important, that you shouldn't feel personally guilty for such leave. I mean, as long as he or she didn't mention your name you have no reason to feel guilty for anything.
I'll leave dA one day... the day my account gets hacked or the day this site ceases to exist. But yeah, it's all about hobby here. If I don't feel like drawing or hanging around here I'll let this account stale and that's that. Rest assured I do appreciate all the great friends I did here, but no matter what I ain't putting this site or any of my internet activities on top of my life priorities.
See ya! Peace out!

Oiling my OCs
My first and current art for this year's painting classes at art school. :D But this here is in a smaller canvas - 30x30cm, compared to that 'Dame Renard Au Nuit' one (40x50cm). Chances are I finish it this evening.
Thing is, my teacher liked the idea more than I expected he would. He doesn't really know my neverending cast of OCs or my dA account (and so doesn't any of my classmates), but even so he suggested that, if I have more cartoony characters to pick, I paint other three 30x30cm canvas fo them and put them together in a square formation. Needless to say this idea sounded too appealing to refuse. =p
See ya! Peace Out! Take care! :w00
So long, Carnaval...
Gotta confess, every year Carnaval feels like brief holidays to me. Four days with no duties, no tasks, no nothing, just binging on movies and TV, gaming here and there, visiting friends and family, having fun to the point of completely ignoring the clock. Never been the kind of joining the street festivities really. :D Maybe it's the lack of a nearby one - there's no Carnaval street parties in a radius of about 400 sq mi from where I live, so in my case you need to hit the road if you want to shake your booty in the middle of a heated dancing crowd to the nonstop sound of samba -, maybe it's just a matter of habit, this is one I never develo
Out with request, on with the rest
So, as I stated last year, this is the last request lottery I'll ever do. I mean, I seriously don't see myself getting back with them. They've been fun to do, of course, but not really that worthy to keep it on year after year. Besides, ask a lot of artists around: free art attracts a swarm of undesirable people never seen before, craving for some free drawing. Considering in the last year I haven't been spending as much time drawing or lurking around the web as I used to, adding to the fact I got more art to take care of regarding that graphic design/animation/2D games classes (just for this month I got logos, a vector art of Shy Guy and an
Commissions?
Then how about cheking out our fellow SkyJinks (https://www.deviantart.com/skyjinks)'s options? :) I know I will! :aww: At least a sketch for now...
As for me, I'll be tackling pending commissions one by one as soon as this Request Lottery ends. And remember how I said I'd be quitting them after I finish the current queue? I'm reconsidering about that, atlhough for now I won't take any new ones, but I may open slots as soon as I take care of what I already got.
See ya! Peace out! :w00t:

Well, that sure was beautifully written, or should i say typed?
But out of curiosity, what made you type this journal? Did some important people leave?
I was away for more than a week i think, thus i've most likely missed something, nothing too major i believe, but i'm curious.
